Grandma's House, Huntingdon, TN, June 25, 2005. The house was ours since it was built in 1973. Some of the pictures are a visit to the nursing home to see Grandma. After Christmas 2006, Daisy fell on floor of the nursing home and fractured her hip. She had hip surgery. She became weakened from all of this, and then died. Obituary Daisy Ellen Kehrer, 85, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Tuesday, January 9, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center [formerly called, Hillhaven]. Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 12, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Crossno and Bro. Dan Winkler officiating. Burial followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers who served were Brian Brewer, Steven Brewer, Timothy Brock, Kenneth Kehrer, Jr., Sam Travelstead, Travis Branson, and Farris Rollins. Mrs. Kehrer, daughter of the late Fred Denham and Martha "Neibel" Denham, was born on July 7, 1921, in West Frankfort, Illinois. She was retired from Hillhaven and a member of Tate's Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Kehrer, who died April 9, 1999; a brother, Roscoe Eugene Denham; and a sister, Roberta Denham Jones. She is survived by two daughters, Jennetta Arlene Brock of Huntingdon and Shirley Ann Guinn of Westport; three sons, Byford Lee Kehrer, Gene Lavoughn Kehrer and Kenneth Wayne Kehrer, all of Huntingdon; a sister, Laura May Schlag of Belle Rive, Illinois; four brothers. Harry Fred Denham of Belle Rive, Illinois, Harvey Levi Denham of McClainsboro, Illinois, Vernon Udell Denham of Minooka, Illinois, and Herbert Ulysses Denham of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. |
